Neil Warnock and Claudio Ranieri call for VAR after controversial decisions

Cardiff chief Neil Warnock said "refs surmise a great deal" and joined Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri in saying VAR can't come in soon enough after dubious choices in their sides' Premier League crushes on Friday.

The Bluebirds were whipped 5-1 by Watford after Josh Murphy was denied a punishment without further ado before half-time.

Fulham lost 3-1 after West Ham forward Javier Hernandez scored with his arm.

"There will be botches however they will get all the more directly with VAR," said Warnock.

Video right hand refs have been being used in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season and will be presented in the Premier League next season.

"Officials need assistance," said Warnock. "It is human instinct, refereeing is difficult. Yet, the snappier VAR comes in… in light of the fact that that would have been settled in 30 seconds.

"Everybody on the pitch realized it was a punishment. It wouldn't take long to see."

Watford achieve Silva assention

Hernandez's West Ham objective counteracted Ryan Babel's opener for Fulham before Issa Diop scored with a transcending header five minutes previously half-time and Michail Antonio gestured in a third late on for the Hammers.

"It was a pity that the ref didn't see the handball. VAR is critical for next season," said Fulham manager Ranieri.

"It is vastly improved with VAR, I comprehend that it is difficult to adjust however it is gradually, gradually showing signs of improvement."

Talking on BBC Radio 5 live, previous West Ham protector Matthew Upson said Hernandez's utilization of the arm was "purposeful" and that the Mexico forward "comprehended what he was doing".
